Crowns
Crowns are used when the top, visible part of the tooth has been damaged by decay or accident, or following root canal treatment. They strengthen the remaining part of the tooth and make it look like a whole, natural tooth once more.
Modern techniques and materials mean that crowns look and feel much more natural these days. They are less bulky, and no longer have the old-fashioned metal edge at the gumline.
